What is Batbox?
Batbox is a sports entertainment company dedicated to growing baseball and sports through the development of innovative technology and experiential concepts. By blending cutting-edge technology, immersive venues, and scalable revenue models, Batbox is redefining how people engage with the game. Our growth strategy includes expanding our reach beyond our venues through simulator sales and building partnerships across the Americas.
Who We’re Looking For
Based in Dallas (a hybrid role) and reporting to our remote Chief People Officer, the People Operations Specialist works across both our Venue, Simulator and Head Office teams, ensuring team members are supported, systems run smoothly, and people projects land well. Whether you’re supporting a process rollout, responding to a team member question, leading an investigation or helping a new hire feel welcome on day one, you bring clarity, consistency, and heart to your work.
You’re detail-oriented, people-focused, and operationally strong - keeping things moving while always making space for what matters most: our people. Guided by Batbox’s core values – Be a Good Human, Amp the Experience, Lead Together, and Level Up – you help create an environment where our team members feel supported, empowered, and ready to thrive.
Your Impact
Act as the go-to HR contact for venue and Head Office teams, providing day-to-day support and guidance on policies, compliance, and performance-related matters.
Support venue and Head Office leaders in handling employee relations issues, conducting fact-finding, documenting appropriately, and escalating when needed
Manage end-to-end Head Office recruitment - from driving applicant flow and scheduling interviews to supporting structured hiring and onboarding experiences, while maintaining clean data and a great candidate journey
Support people-related projects such as new system implementations, process launches, annual review processes or engagement and listening strategies.
Manage day-to-day administration of our HR systems, train venue leaders on tool usage, and help launch new systems and workflows with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Administer benefits and eligibility, support team member inquiries and open enrollment, partner with our broker as needed, and help ensure compliance as we grow across states.
Support team engagement by coordinating surveys, events, recognition programs, and feedback loops like onboarding and exit interviews to help us continuously improve the team experience.
Maintain and coordinate the annual HR calendar, ensuring smooth execution of performance and compensation reviews, compliance audits, policy updates, and cyclical HR processes.
Support training and development initiatives by coordinating logistics, tracking completions, and assisting with the rollout of new learning tools or programs.
Collaborate with Operations Leaders to design and implement operations-focused training programs and initiatives for the venues.
