    Our Client, a leading non-profit organization, is currently seeking an experienced COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE. We are looking for the best and the brightest and are in search of bringing in new and fresh ideas that can truly impact this important mission.  The role will have visibility to showcase excellent work while gaining hands-on experience and training from a diverse group of experienced team members in a fast-paced, challenging and supportive environment.  The position will support the organization's communications efforts, and our client's mission overall.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with content development for all organization channels: website, social media, print collateral, annual publications.
    • Lead publishing content on website including articles, addition of new pages, and other minor updates.
    • With support of Communications Manager and Director of Communications, lead management, production, and execution of social media editorial calendar.
    • Assist with development and distribution of the organization's e-newsletters.
    • Manage development and distribution of event-related email communications.
    • Assist with production of event-related collateral.
    • Keep inventory of collateral and event supplies to prepare for community engagement opportunities.
    • Assist with digital asset management.
    • Assist with organizing data for regular reporting on performance of content across all major channels of communication.
    • Serve as a liaison between vendors as necessary.
    • Research and support opportunities to establish presence, engage influencers and grow our audience.
    • Create graphics to enhance our digital media content.
    • Create video content to support the organization's content strategy, including storyboard development, production, and editing.
    • Collaborate with staff to identify and develop various communications related content and templates.
    • Support staff to enhance materials for presentations and to ensure brand consistency.
    • Conduct research related to communications and social media strategy best practices.

    • CMS publishing experience, ideally with WordPress.
    • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
    • Demonstrated social media experience, including content planning, creation, publishing, community management/engagement, and evaluating analytics.
    • Superb skills in graphic design and demonstrable experience within video production/editing.
    • Strong research skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Results-driven with the ability to meet commitments by deadlines.
    • Flexible and able to adapt as priorities change.
    • Creative with ability to connect with the community and current changes and trends.
    • Superb verbal and written communication skills; passion for storytelling through various mediums and strong editing skills.
    • Above average computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress and the Adobe Suite.
    • Absolute attention to detail, even while managing multiple tasks at any one time.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    Ideal candidate possesses a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related degree; 1-3 years of experience working in graphic design, communications, and/or marketing with a proven track record of exceeding expectations.
