    BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

    Our client, Southwest Spirits, is seeking an exceptional Business Systems Analyst.  This valuable member of the team will manage the Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central ERP, Power BI data models, any databases for reporting and analytics, and other key third-party systems.  In addition, they will ensure the ERP ecosystem delivers on company objectives, increases efficiencies over time, solves business issues, and provides a positive return on investment.  This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Finance & Strategy

    Southwest Spirits offers high-quality, high-capacity, end-to-end spirits production for beverage alcohol brands. As the third-largest spirits distiller in Texas, Southwest Spirits operation is run by a team of industry-leading master blenders, distillers, marketers, packaging, and supply chain experts. Together, they develop and launch award-winning distilled spirits brands across the U.S.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI and Power Platform, and other key systems and capabilities.
    • Collaborate and coordinate with the Microsoft Partner as needed on technical aspects for maintaining, upgrading, enhancing, or troubleshooting the ERP solution ecosystem.
    • Maintain alignment of system processes with organizational needs based on executive management direction.  Ensure systems continue to support evolving business requirements.
    • Identify opportunities and present recommendations on how to improve, enhance, and optimize the capabilities of the ERP ecosystem.  Capture and prioritize change requests.
    • Work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements; design and implement fit-for-purpose solutions that address those needs.
    • Perform testing and validation of software releases, system configuration changes, or enhancements prior to deployment to the production ERP environment.
    • Document system-enabled business processes, workflows, standard operating procedures, and best practices.  Maintain Business Central scripts to ensure user self-sufficiency.
    • Assist managers in the system training of users based on responsibilities of their specific roles.
    • Ensure data accuracy and completeness so it can be reliably used in reports and analyses.
    • Maintain Power BI data models and metric calculations to ensure optimal performance.
    • Assist in building and support standardized reporting solutions via Microsoft Power BI, including workspaces, dashboards, visualizations, extracts for data mining, and analytical tools.
    • Manage the design and architecture of any databases and ensure changes adhere to best practices, standards, and principles to allow proper usability and scalability.
    • Monitor technology trends and new software releases to identify cost effective ways to improve system solutions and business processes.
    • Perform administration for the ERP ecosystem, including monitoring data feeds, maintaining interfaces, managing security, adjusting workflows, and enhancing data models.
    • Proactively identify and resolve issues.  Escalate complicated, technical system issues to Microsoft Partner or relevant vendors.  Validate all fixes to issues are implemented properly.
    • Assist in building incremental capabilities and planning tools leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform and other related technologies to address key gaps within the ERP ecosystem.
    • Work with IT Helpdesk Partner on network, infrastructure, and administration support needs.
    • Initiate, manage, and execute ad-hoc projects in support of company objectives and priorities.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or most recent version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV may be an acceptable alternative), including the following modules:
    • Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Planning, Warehousing, Manufacturing, etc.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred (e.g. Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.) or certification equivalents accepted.
    • 3+ years of previously related business and technical work experiences.
    • Experience working in the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred; knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry is a plus.
    • Understanding of syndicated data sources is a plus, such as VIP, Nielsen, NABCA, IRI, etc.
    • Worked in a commercially oriented organization with results driven expectations.

    Experience working with Microsoft stack solutions, including:

    Power BI proficiency is required.

    Power Platform and Power Apps is preferred.

    SQL Server or Access is a plus.

    Visual Studio or Visual Basic for Applications is a plus.

    Excel proficiency is required, including analytical tools.

    Other Office 365 products, such as SharePoint, is a plus.
