    Job Description

    This position will work on the Payroll and Compensation team supporting the semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll preparation, execution, and analysis.  The Compensation Analyst will also research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits.

    • Immediate back up to the Payroll Manager.
    • Performs data entry of all compensation changes throughout the organization with supporting documentation from a status change forms/offer letter/etc.
    • Processes all Verification of Income and/or Verification of Employment requests for all employees excluding requests for Senior Leadership.
    • Maintains detailed spreadsheet of variances in doctor compensation hospital by hospital.
    • Prepares the monthly analysis of reports from Payroll to Accounting, inclusive of Paid Time Off, Sick Leave(s), WA L&I, 401k Employer match, etc.
    • Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the job market; contributes to established compensation surveys.
    • Prepares the incentive compensation program grids such as profit share, quarterly/annual bonus programs, etc.
    • Partners with Operations on the annual compensation review and all related work streams.
    • Tracks the HR Team Budget and builds a monthly dashboard.
    • Ability to interpret and calculate compensation as outlined in employment agreements and offer letters.
    • Champions People, Pets and Vets’ compensation philosophy and partner across Human Resources and the business to ensure compensation programs are designed and delivered in alignment with total rewards and HR objectives
    • Remains current with legal and market related topics including Equal Pay, minimum wage, living wage and FLSA to ensure compliance.
    • Actively communicates and promotes People, Pets and Vets mission and values.
    • Protects confidential and personal information with the highest discretion, put in place and maintain integrity of processes for protection.
    • Support and maintain a transition to move the company to a paperless/paper light payroll and compensation processing.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Experience processing exempt and non-exempt payroll within HRIS system processing multi-state payroll.  
    • Demonstrated experience in HRIS / Payroll software
    • ADP Workforce Now experience
    • Strong proficiency in excel with strong numerical skills, able to uncover details within quantitative analysis.
    • Strong analytical abilities from trends, forecasting, spreadsheets, market surveys, etc.
    • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communications skills.

    PREFERRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Human Resources
    • Current Compensation Certification either the CCP or CMS
    • Experience in the medical/veterinary industry
