    Job Description

    The Hospital Integration Manager is a critical and highly visible role both internally and externally. We are looking for a strong business operator blended with an empathetic, emotionally aware, and culturally sensitive influencer who can quickly develop rapport and trust with diverse groups of people. This role is often tasked with difficult conversations and making people feel comfortable during a potentially stressful time in their life. The role collaborates with every department across our organization and requires a very high level of emotional intelligence. This role has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and performance of multiple hospital locations during the first 4-6 months of them joining the organization. The Hospital Integration Manager provides white-glove, one-stop-shop support, expertise and feedback to hospital leaders for all areas of hospital operations, including revenue growth, cost containment, talent development, client relations, and hospital administration.

    ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Complete P&L accountability for up to 12-15 veterinary hospitals
    • Provide white-glove operational support and service to new hospitals that join PPV by being their first line of support and contact for all questions and concerns
    • Provide strong project management support across the organization to assist with the integration of new hospitals (HR integration, IT integration, Accounting & Finance Integration)
    • Serve as the public relations face of the company when interacting with new hospitals
    • Examine effectiveness of operational practices and provide support and consulting to improve processes. Provide training and mentoring in underperforming areas
    • Train and develop strong hospital leaders for a seamless integration into their home region after the 4-to-6-month transition period
    • Monitor progress and work with hospital leaders to ensure performance on operational KPIs (key performance indicators) and hospital/region initiatives
    • Handle common employee relations issues within designated hospitals (must be comfortable and effective with HR processes and conflict resolution)
    • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to senior management team on hospital performance
    • Directly work with hospital leaders to help them problem-solve at the hospital level, including with patients, doctors, staff, equipment, building, etc.
    • Oversee staffing, recruiting, team member scheduling, supplies ordering, patient experience, and all administrative responsibilities for the region
    • Interact with and be a liaison between hospitals and service center (corporate) staff
    • Train hospital leaders as needed on technical, interpersonal, operational and business skills
    • Help hospital leaders resolve any issues, complications or challenges that arise at the hospital level

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate skill and proficiency in MS word, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Demonstrated track record of successful financial and operating management
    • Demonstrated experience in planning and project management
    • Demonstrated experience managing at strategic and operations levels
    • Demonstrated experience having difficult conversations using an influential process compared to a command and control technique

     

    Education/Training:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, sales, marketing, or public relations preferred
    • Project management certification preferred

     

    Experience:

    • Five (5) years progressive management experience in a multi-site, healthcare based operational business
    • Three (3) years of public relations and/or brand management experience
    • Two (2) years of project management experience
    • Two (2) years of change management experience
    • Veterinary experience strongly preferred
    • Proven success engaging with doctors/physicians and physician groups preferred
    • Strong business acumen blended with an ability to use emotional intelligence to tailor and craft messages in a soft, engaging manner
    • Strong public speaking and brand representation experience

     

    Travel:

    • Available for multi-state/multi-night travel (about 80%) across our organizational pawprint

     

    PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

    The employee will be working in a veterinary hospital and/or professional business office setting.  The employee is required to stand, walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard and mouse and views computer monitor frequently.
