Thousands attend their 50+ events a year.  Over 10,000 C/VP-level product executives such as Netflix Product VP, Coinbase CPO, and Box CPO share their best practices on what it takes to build great products. Hundreds join the product conversation at their invite-only executive product salons while many agree to shape the product conversation by giving insightful talks and interviews.  Also, some choose to drive the product conversation by leading local chapters and podcast shows.     They are currently seeking an established consultative sales executive with a passion for technology products.  The right candidate will be highly motivated and forward-thinking with the ability to operate, build and fine-tune the customer acquisition function for the community. To be successful in this role, you will need a track record of closing sales and partnership opportunities with top brands in the technology industry.  If you’re looking for an opportunity working directly with Founders, Innovators, CMO’s, CPO’s, CTO’s and other top influencers in the technology industry, and have the ability to motivate a captive audience, this role is perfectly suited for you.

     

    AS THE SALES EXECUTIVE, YOUR DAILY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF:

    • New customer development: Identify, uncover, and develop account opportunities. Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the organization. Qualify prospects effectively to optimize the sales cycle. Upsell, cross-sell, negotiate and close sponsorship and fundraising deals. Target sales contacts will include directors of product management, human resources, marketing, etc.
    • Partnership growth: Nurture relationships with existing partners/sponsors, while maximizing category yield in all major categories through the sale of fully integrated partnerships.
    • CRM: Track all opportunities and customer details in the CRM. Prepare reports on goals, sales and prospects. 
    • Leadership: Once established, builds the partnership function for the organization through hiring, team building, managing and working cross-functionally with staff and management on corporate partner related programs to achieve goals.

     

    AS THE SALES EXECUTIVE, YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD INCLUDE:

    • 5+ years of consultative sales, partnerships and/or customer acquisition experience in the technology industry with progressively increasing responsibilities
    • Experience selling to large enterprise companies
    • Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, high energy and a customer-focused background with at least with experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects)
    • Some knowledge or experience building teams, hiring, interviewing and mentoring sales personnel helpful (not a must but this position has the ability to grow into a team leader)
    • Proven professional history of achieving sales results, including carrying a quota > $1M
    • Proficient in productivity applications and CRM tools such as G-Suite, MixMax, Slack and Airtable
    • Power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, CoSchedule and Instagram
    • Outgoing personality with a friendly disposition
    • Thorough understanding of sales and negotiating techniques
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships
    • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
    • High energy and customer-focused approach
    • Analytical mind with strong math skills and keen business senses
    • Ability to travel (20%)
