    Job Description

    PRESIDENT (CO-FOUNDER)

     

    Our client has created a new category they call "Live Podcasting". Their truly revolutionary software product is already built; it’s a platform that empowers content creators to live stream audio from any phone, tablet, or computer (Mac•Android•Windows) to Amazon Alexa and YouTube. They are adding distribution for Google Assistant, Facebook, Samsung Bixby, Twitter, Microsoft Cortana, SoundCloud, iTunes, and Spotify. Their ambition is to do for voice/audio/sound what YouTube has done for video, Twitter has done for text messaging, and LinkedIn has done for networking.  They are seeking a President (Co-Founder) to join their team.  They will be offered a significant amount of equity in our Silicon Valley Tech Startup.

     

    The Details:

     

    The President’s responsibilities will include leading their executive team, board/advisors, operations/administration, governance, finances, and legal. You would NOT be responsible for vision, hiring, or fundraising as that is the CEO’s primary focus.

     

    Our client believes that your empathy, creativity, adaptability, teamwork, and communication skills (both written and verbal) are just as important as your practical skills.  They value your potential more than your experience and believe that if you become their President, you will do the best work of your life as one of the three Co-Founders.

     

    The Process:

     

    The expected interview process will be something like this:

    • Ten-minute interview with the Head of Talent to learn more about the company and opportunity
    • Forty-minute conversation with the CEO to explore your potential impact at
    • Write your own detailed job description and send that to the CEO and Head of Talent,
    • Ten-minute discussion about your potential compensation package with our Head of Talent
    • Hour-long conversation with the CEO, CTO and Chief of Ethics
    • Final two-hour conversation with the CEO
    • Receive an official job offer
    • Agree on your start date (likely in late September or early October)

     

    Our client is a fully distributed team that is spread throughout the US and Europe. The CEO is located in Santa Cruz CA, and their CTO is in San Juan, Puerto Rico at their HQ.  They are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
