At People’s Care, we provide support services and programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

_SHIFT: MONDAY TO FRIDAY FROM 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (WEEKENDS WHEN NEEDED) *Service Location: West Covina, CA

JOB SUMMARY:

The Day Program Instructor assists individual(s) with developmental disabilities and mental illness and/or chronic illness. The Personal Assistant supports individuals in life areas such as work, school, other programming, money management, health and wellness, personal safety, behaviors, and activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, personal hygiene) both in the home and in the community. The Instructor will drive the consumers from/to their home/facility using the company's vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 Year Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• Must have First Aid / CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Valid Vehicle Insurance and Registration
• Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
