    Position: ReceptionistPosition Details:

    Job Duration: Part-time (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Monday – Friday).

    Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

    Overall Purpose:

    As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact and first impression of our Company. A consistently friendly, professional, client service and sales oriented personality along with a positive “can-do” demeanor are paramount. You will welcome clients and greet people who visit the Company. Receptionist duties include offering administrative support across the organization in the capacity of a Client Service Representative, when required.

    6. Reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position at a consistently high level.

    7. Demonstrates a willingness to do whatever is required for betterment of the organization.

    Essential Duties:

    1. Welcomes and greets clients/visitors as soon as they arrive.

    2. Notifies company personnel of client/visitor arrivals and directs and escorts client/visitors.

    3. Receives and sorts daily mail, packages and deliveries.

    4. Screens unscheduled solicitors.

    5. Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations established by the Company.

    6. Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, mailing, binding and faxing.

    7. Prepare and mail new business and renewal policies to clients.

    8. Build and maintain rapport with brokers, clients and insurance carrier personnel.

    9. Work on special projects that may be assigned by management as necessary.

    Office Equipment / Software Used:

    1. Microsoft Windows Operating System – must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and other MS Office applications.

    2. Inter-office network; Internet access; e-mail – internally, with carriers, and with prospects/clients/others.

    3. Agency Management System (Applied Epic) and related programs.

    4. Telephone, fax, copier, printer, document scanner and binding machine.

    Qualifications:

    1. High school diploma (required).

    2. Minimum of 5 years receptionist and administrative assistant experience (required); experience in professional work setting (preferred).

    3. Ability to maintain and foster existing client relationships as well as cultivate new relationships with client prospects is critical to success.

    4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced sales environment is crucial.

    5. Must be detail oriented, thorough, organized and efficient in executing tasks.

    6. Excellent communicative skills, both orally and in writing are essential.

    7. Must possess a positive, motivated attitude; results driven personality.

    8. Adapts quickly to change in systems, policies and procedures.

    9. Strong Microsoft Office skills (preferred).

    10. Consistently looks for new challenges and opportunities to add value to both clients and organization.
