As a certified nursing assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to act as the primary caregiver to our patients with varied levels of mobility who require daily assistance and help them with getting dressed, eating daily meals, changing bedpans, and going to the restroom. Monitoring patient symptoms, changes in behavior, and vital signs are critical tasks for this role. Responsibilities: • Provide carefully documented patient information in charts for multiple vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level • Relay important data or changes of patient status to charge nurse or general physician and other facility staff as needed • Sanitize and clean patient’s room by rotating sheets, bedpans, and performing general room cleaning • Give patient support with basic care daily living activities bathing, getting dressed, going to the restroom, eating regular meals, and taking proper medication dosages • Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health Qualifications: • Experience and knowledge working with bedridden patients and those who suffer from age-related illness such as Alzheimer's and Dementia preferred • Capable of administering catheters and enemas, preferred, but not required • Job seekers must possess a high school diploma or equivalent such as GED • Completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college • Excellent communication skills that focus on creating and maintaining positive relationships between patient and families Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
