About the Role
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist , you'll perform essential diagnostic imaging procedures that support our cardiologists in identifying and managing heart conditions. You'll work independently but collaboratively in a tight-knit team, using your nuclear medicine expertise to deliver accurate results and an exceptional patient experience.
This role blends technical proficiency, radiation safety awareness, and compassionate communication with patients undergoing cardiovascular imaging.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Clinical Procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for cardiac imaging
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment according to established protocols
- Perform and analyze imaging tests with precision
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to ALARA radiation safety standards
- Maintain and document isotope inventory, radiation logs, and quality control records
Patient Care & Collaboration
- Educate and guide patients before, during, and after procedures
- Work closely with cardiologists, medical assistants, and nursing staff
- Ensure patient comfort and emotional support during testing
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Support EMR documentation and accurate data input
- Contribute to team-based performance improvement initiatives
What You'll Need to Succeed
Required:
- Current certification: NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N)
- Washington State Department of Health Nuclear Medicine Technologist license
- Current AHA BLS/CPR certification
- 1+ years experience in a nuclear medicine or cardiac imaging setting
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient or specialty cardiology settings
- Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills
- Ability to operate independently and adapt in a dynamic clinic environment
Work Environment
- Location : 3920 Capital Mall Dr SW, Suite 203 in Olympia, WA
- Schedule : Per Diem
- Outpatient clinical setting, closed weekends and major holidays
Compensation & Benefits

Wage Range : $46.51 – $71.31/hour
