    Job Description

    START DATE (CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT): February 14, 2022  START DATE (INSTRUCTION): May 9, 2022 END DATE (INSTRUCTION): June 24, 2022 LOCATION: Denver, Colorado (remote, but Denver-based preferred)

    OVERVIEW 

    As a QA Automation Developer, you will develop materials for our online and in-person classrooms. (Currently, all of our classes are remote.) 

    REQUIRED SKILL-SETS

    • Experience in developing training content for classroom delivery
    • Strong technical background; able to grasp and convey the highly technical subject matter
    • A strong foundational understanding of client/server methodologies and virtual environments. 
    • Proficiency in Java programming
    • Proficiency with JUnit and Java connectivity using JDBC
    • Knowledge or proficiency in Selenium with TestNG for UI Testing
    • Knowledge or proficiency in Postman for API Testing
    • Knowledge or proficiency in Jenkins and API test automation tools to generate integration tests
    • Knowledge or proficiency in CI/CD pipeline and test design in SDLC
    • Proficiency with Git

    PREFERRED SKILL-SETS

    • Experience as corporate trainer or prior instructional experience
    • Ability to write content and curriculum related to instructional outcomes is a plus
    • Knowledge or proficiency in MariaDB with SQL
    • Knowledge or proficiency in SQL and databases
    • Knowledge or proficiency in JavaScript
    • Knowledge or proficiency in SpringBoot

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Contribute as an SME and lead content development for curriculum targeted to Junior or Senior Associates in  Mainframe Engineer roles
    • Work closely with the Curriculum Development Team to identify curriculum needs, develop/provide the necessary classroom materials
    • Create all necessary lesson materials, lesson plans, labs and curricula for units of our courses that are aligned to the curriculum vision as well as the external benchmarks
    • Create handouts and activities, curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and any other classroom materials. 
    • Develop alignments to standards and determine evaluation criteria, i.e. quizzes, assignments, etc.
    • Create classroom materials that can be delivered both as self-paced online programs or at in-person training
    • Support or lead technical instruction when needed

    QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Professional or academic experience in project management, information technology, or related experience. 
    • Develop skills-based and knowledge-based assessments for each module
    • Ability to detail project scope and objectives
    • Prepare timelines and tasks utilizing PMS (project management software)
    • Define project dependencies and milestones
    • Develop materials to produce a scope of work and project schedules
    • Provide an overview on stakeholders, strategy, adjustments, and progress
    • Provide information about industry best practices, techniques, and standards 
    • Define IT tasks and allocate resources where necessary
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of standup meetings/check-ins, Sprints/Project Timelines.
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
