Position Description – Performance/Data Analyst I
Location: Washington, DC Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required Employment Type: Full-Time Customer: Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division (JMD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO)
Position Overview
Cornerstone is seeking a Performance/Data Analyst I to support the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and associated operational coordination activities. The selected candidate will support enterprise data collection, performance analysis, operational reporting, dashboard development, and data management initiatives supporting mission-critical federal operations.
This position will support the integration, analysis, visualization, and reporting of operational and performance data utilizing modern analytics platforms, statistical methodologies, and business intelligence tools. Personnel will coordinate with government stakeholders, analysts, and leadership personnel to support data-driven decision-making, reporting modernization, and enterprise information management activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect, organize, validate, analyze, and interpret operational and performance data from multiple government information systems and data repositories
Support development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, charts, visualizations, and performance metrics utilizing Tableau and related business intelligence platforms
Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities supporting enterprise reporting requirements
Perform statistical analysis, trend analysis, and data correlation activities supporting operational and strategic decision-making
Support development of recurring and ad hoc analytical products for government leadership and operational stakeholders
Assist with data quality assessments, validation reviews, and data governance activities
Support integration and standardization of data from multiple operational systems and reporting environments
Assist with documentation of business processes, reporting methodologies, data dictionaries, and analytical procedures
Coordinate with government personnel to identify reporting requirements, performance measures, and analytical priorities
Support continuous improvement initiatives associated with reporting automation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
Maintain compliance with federal information security, privacy, and data handling requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting data analysis, performance reporting, business intelligence, operational analytics, or program analytics
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence and reporting tools
Experience organizing, analyzing, and interpreting structured and unstructured datasets
Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently within a fast-paced federal support environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting DOJ, DHS, DoD, or other federal agencies
Experience with Python, R, SQL scripting, or related analytical programming tools
Familiarity with Tableau dashboard development and data visualization best practices
Experience supporting audit, compliance, operational reporting, or performance management initiatives
Experience supporting enterprise data management or interagency reporting environments
Active Secret Clearance
Target Salary Range
Starting at $100,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, technical capability, and clearance status.
