    Job Description

    Performance Excellence Partners (PEP), a woman owned small business management consulting company located in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a dynamic full-time Accounting Analyst/Bookkeeper to join their corporate team on a remote basis who shares their company values. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Accounting Analyst/Bookkeeper will work closely with PEP’s leadership and corporate staff and be responsible for full-cycle finance and accounting functions and serve as the accountant, financial analyst, and advisor to project and program owners. In addition, the Analyst will manage tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end review, support of budget and forecast activities.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accounts Payable activities and Input into QuickBooks.
    • Accounts Receivable activities and Input into QuickBooks.
    • Process Reconciliations.
    • Create and Prepare Project Invoices.
    • Process Month End including Balance Sheet Schedule and Paid Time Off Schedule.
    • Maintain Financial Binders.
    • Develop Budgets for Government Proposals and Support/Develop Provisional Billing Rates and Forward Pricing.
    • Support/Develop Annual Forecast/Budget.
    • Monitor Contract Requirements and ensure reporting is completed.
    • Manage Corporate Certifications (complete applications, monitor status and handle renewals).
    • Gather Tax Data for Returns.
    • Process Payroll.
    • Support Corporate Operations and perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KSAS)

    • Bachelor’s Degree and five to seven years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
    • Experience working with government contracts is a plus.
    • Five or more additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
    • Experience producing high-quality reports and other deliverables.
    • Be a detail-oriented, motivated self-starter with the ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex tasks.
    • Have excellent communication (written and oral), customer service, problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Be highly proficient in Excel and QuickBooks.
    • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and Teams and be familiar with SharePoint.
    • Ability to work remotely.
