    Periodontist – Advanced Surgical Opportunity

    Sacramento, California → Reno, Nevada

Travel to Reno Twice Monthly | Stacked Surgical Days | Significant Daily Production Potential | IV Sedation | Complex Implants | Private Practice

Are you a surgically driven Sacramento-area Periodontist interested in adding highly productive specialty days without building another referral network from scratch?

Our confidential, dentist-owned private group is seeking an experienced Periodontist with advanced surgical capabilities to travel from the Sacramento region to Reno, Nevada approximately twice per month for dedicated, pre-scheduled surgical days.

The goal is simple: build and stack the schedule before you arrive.

You'll step into an established internal referral network of Pediatric Dentists and high-producing General Dentists, with cases coordinated in advance so your time in Reno can be focused on surgery—not generating referrals, filling the schedule, or managing administrative headaches.

We are specifically seeking a Periodontist comfortable performing a broad surgical scope including complex implant placement, surgical extraction of fully impacted third molars, bone grafting, and in-office IV sedation.

⭐ Why This Opportunity Stands Out

    Designed for a Sacramento-Based Specialist

This position is specifically being recruited for a Periodontist who wants to remain based in the Sacramento / Northern California market while adding productive surgical days in Reno.

    • Travel to Reno approximately twice monthly
    • Dedicated surgical schedules built in advance
    • Cases concentrated into productive specialty days
    • No relocation required
    • Maintain your existing California practice or other commitments
    • Potential to expand frequency as demand grows

Reno is close enough to Northern California to make this a practical recurring opportunity without requiring a permanent move.

    Stacked, Pre-Scheduled Surgery Days

Our team will work to identify, treatment coordinate, and schedule appropriate specialty cases ahead of your clinical days.

The objective is to create a concentrated surgical schedule that may include:

    • Complex Implant Placement
    • Fully Impacted Third Molar Extractions
    • Complex Surgical Extractions
    • IV Sedation
    • Bone Grafting
    • Ridge Augmentation
    • Sinus Augmentation
    • Socket Preservation
    • Soft-Tissue Grafting
    • Periodontal Surgery
    • Full-Arch Implant Surgery
    • Implant Complication Management
    • Other Advanced Periodontal and Surgical Procedures

This is not simply a traditional periodontal maintenance position.

We are looking for a Periodontist whose training and clinical experience allow them to handle a meaningful portion of the advanced surgical cases that would otherwise be referred outside the organization.

    Immediate Built-In Referral Base

    • Established referrals from Pediatric Dentists and General Dentists
    • Existing patient demand for advanced surgical procedures
    • No need to build a referral network from scratch
    • Cases coordinated internally before your arrival
    • Opportunity to retain advanced specialty procedures within the practice network
    • Significant potential for surgical volume to grow over time

    Significant Production & Income Potential

    • Collections-based compensation model
    • High-value surgical procedure mix
    • Dedicated specialty scheduling
    • Ability to concentrate complex cases into fewer clinical days
    • Significant daily earning potential based on production and collections
    • Additional upside as the specialty program expands

For an experienced Periodontist performing implants, impacted thirds, grafting, sedation, and other advanced procedures, the model is designed to create highly productive clinical days rather than a traditional part-time specialty schedule.

    Modern Surgical Environment

You'll practice within established Reno facilities supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams.

The organization is committed to supporting advanced surgical dentistry, including:

    • Implant Surgery
    • IV Sedation
    • Third Molar Surgery
    • Complex Extractions
    • Bone Grafting
    • Periodontal Surgery
    • Full-Arch Treatment
    • Advanced Surgical Case Coordination

Our referring doctors and administrative teams will work collaboratively to identify appropriate cases and prepare the schedule prior to each visit.

    Private Practice Culture

    • 100% dentist-owned and dentist-led
    • No private equity involvement
    • No corporate bureaucracy
    • Strong clinical autonomy
    • Collaborative relationships with referring doctors
    • Experienced administrative and clinical support
    • Provider-first leadership philosophy

You'll have the freedom to determine appropriate treatment, evaluate which cases fit your clinical scope, and practice according to your professional judgment.

    Long-Term Growth Opportunity

The position is initially structured around approximately two Reno visits per month , but leadership views advanced surgical and periodontal services as an important long-term growth opportunity.

For the right Periodontist, future opportunities may include:

    • Adding additional Reno surgical days
    • Building a larger internal specialty referral program
    • Supporting additional practices throughout Northern Nevada
    • Helping establish surgical protocols and workflows
    • Participating in future specialty expansion
    • Exploring long-term partnership opportunities

The patient relationships and referring providers are already in place. We're looking for the right specialist to help us expand what can be treated internally.

    ✅ Qualifications

    • DDS/DMD
    • Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency
    • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Periodontist preferred
    • Nevada dental license or ability to obtain
    • Appropriate Nevada sedation permit or ability to obtain
    • Advanced implant surgery experience
    • Strong bone grafting capabilities
    • Demonstrated experience performing complex surgical extractions
    • Experience extracting fully impacted third molars
    • Experience administering IV sedation in an office-based environment
    • Strong treatment-planning and patient-management skills
    • Comfortable collaborating with Pediatric Dentists and General Dentists
    • Ability and willingness to travel from Northern California to Reno approximately twice monthly
