DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates and maintains Class A semi-trucks to deliver housing to and from various locations.

Drives semi-truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver bulk materials by way of end dump or bottom dump trailer.

Makes deliveries and pick-ups in the most efficient and economical manner possible; maintains an efficient routing system.

Cleans and services vehicle; performs pre-operation inspections according to DOT regulations; maintains vehicle maintenance schedule as required by shop.

Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed.

Drives truck to weigh station before and after loading, and along route to document weight and conform to state regulations.

Maintains radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.

Notifies supervisors of problems that disrupts deliveries as soon as possible.

Follows all policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent required.

CDL Class A License required.

Tanker endorsement required.

Toter/Bulk hauling experience preferred

Minimum one year previous driving experience preferred.
