Permian Lodging LLC is looking for a dynamic and energized Controller who has the desire to work in a high-growth company where you will be able to make an impact both strategically and tactically. Position has massive potential for growth. Very fast paced with limited staff. Must be highly articulate, intelligent and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reporting to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liability

Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by management

Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash management, and accounting practices

Direct all accounting processes and functions, including the timely and accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions

Oversee compliance with Federal, State, and Local taxing authorities

Lead accounting team by selecting, training, and coaching team

Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and review financial results, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries for compliance with U.S. GAAP

Responsible for designing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting

Monitor cash balances and oversee cash forecasts

Prepare short and long-term financial models, forecasts, and competitive industry analysis for revenues, expenses, cash flows, and other key financial metrics

Coordinate and manage the annual audit of the financial statements

Complete special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

Requirements:

8 years of experience in a related role e.g. Assistant Controller, Controller position

Ability to work with a small – mid-sized high growth company

A thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and capability of applying in a practical manner

Able to act independently, exercising independent decision-making and fulfilling responsibilities with minimal supervision

Excellent teamwork skills, management skills, and ability to deal with others in a professional manner

Proficient user of Microsoft office. Proficiency with accounting software is a MUST

Current on best practices, compliance and ethical business practices

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required, MBA or MPA preferred. CPA preferred

Fund accounting experience is plus
