POSITION PURPOSE
Candidate must be willing to independently in a company vehicle to operate a route of water plants (surface water or groundwater), operate wastewater plans of size appropriate to license level, ensure regulatory compliance, assist customers, monitor water distribution systems, and troubleshoot problems or complaints.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Candidate tasks will include operate a variety of equipment/machinery including: valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc. Must have knowledge of all listed equipment. Must conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater facilities. Performs and documents treatment process and maintenance of treatment facility equipment to assure proper operations and documents. Documents plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage. Responds to call outs and after hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical support. Ensures facilities are secure. Cleans and maintains treatment plant grounds when necessary.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High school or equivalent education required.
Experience
TCEQ licensed water or wastewater operator B or C level required. Starting pay negotiable in alignment with licenses and experience level. At least one year of experience in the areas of Water Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment is required.
