Job Summary
We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team!
Permit coordinator will be working closely with site managers and other team members to determine the scope of existing and upcoming projects, contact the city and the county where the project is located.
The permit coordinator will review all paperwork to ensure it is filled out and filed properly, so permits are obtained promptly.
You will also be working with architects and engineers to ensure the scope of the project is accurate and reviewing all project information, including spec sheets and drawings.

his role requires a meticulous and driven Permit Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the central point of contact for all project permitting, entitlements, and regulatory compliance.
You will navigate the complex landscape of municipal, county, and state agencies, ensuring that our construction and development projects proceed without delay.
The ideal candidate is a master of organization, a diplomatic communicator, and a tenacious problem-solver who thrives on seeing a project through from due diligence to final inspection.
You will be an essential liaison between our internal teams (project managers, engineers, architects) and external government bodies, making your role critical to our operational success.
Communicate with applicants to clarify requirements and gather necessary documentation.
Coordinate with various departments and agencies to ensure timely approvals.
Maintain accurate records of all permits issued and their statuses.
Monitor project timelines to ensure permits are obtained before deadlines.
Provide guidance and support to the Manager in the permit close-out process upon project completion, ensuring all final inspections are passed, and certificates of occupancy are obtained
Communication with the customers, city, and the county; phone etiquette
Responsibilities
Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to determine the scope and timeline of a project
Determine the permits needed for each project
Accurately and efficiently fill out all permitting paperwork required, often following up with local or state governments
This position is an 8-hour seating
On the phone daily
Resilience and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience dealing directly and successfully with a variety of municipal agencies, building departments, and planning/zoning commissions is highly preferred.
Qualifications: Must have these qualifications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent time management skills
Familiarity with construction and permitting procedures
Will train for the opportunity (3-month training) with some exposure to the trade
Office experience; Word, Excel, and Google Docs
High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by relevant work experience.
1-2 years of direct experience in a permit coordinating, project administration, or a similar role within the construction, engineering, telecommunications, or development industry.
