We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permitting and Claims Specialist.

    Job Summary:
    The Permitting and Claims Specialist is a multifaceted role with many responsibilities:

    • Managing building permit filings for commercial and residential projects, including communication with contractors, building departments, inspectors, conservation authorities, and other relevant entities.

    • Following up on insurance claims by coordinating with adjusters and insurance companies to ensure timely claim resolution and payment.

    • Supporting the customer service department with email responses, ticket processing, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

    • Assisting various teams with project completion, vendor follow-up, and communication with utilities (National Grid, Eversource), city/town clerks, and other external contacts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, submit, and track building permit applications for commercial and residential projects.

    • Serve as primary liaison with contractors, building departments, inspectors, and other governmental bodies to ensure permits are approved and inspections are scheduled.

    • Contact insurance companies and adjusters to follow up on open claims, ensuring timely closure.

    • Provide support to the customer service team with email inquiries, ticket management, and administrative tasks.

    • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and utilities to resolve project-related questions and issues.

    • Assist any team within the company as needed to ensure projects and tasks are completed efficiently.

    • Maintain organized records of permits, claims, correspondence, and project progress.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience with building permits, municipal departments, or construction administration preferred.

    • Experience following up with insurance companies, contacting daily to ensure claims are closed.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and project management tools.
