    AUTOMOTIVE CONTRACT-DMV TITLE CLERK, PERRY AUTO GROUP

    The AUTOMOTIVE CONTRACT-DMV TITLE CLERK performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as titles, registrations, license plates, and other vehicle or owner information. He or she also helps with inventory tracking, record keeping, and reporting. The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification) and at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. He or she can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manages vehicle documentation, including tax and title information, registrations, etc.
    • Process New and Used vehicle contracts timely and accurately.
    • Process Dealer Trades, Pay off Used Carl Flooring and Electronic Funding Transactions (EFT's).
    • Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
    • Reconcile sales commissions & accounting schedules relating to the car sales.
    • Verifies the costs and transactions for each vehicle sale.
    • Submits for Manufacture rebates and maintain a heat sheet.
    • Process DMV paperwork for new, used and wholesale vehicles for the dealership.
    • Ensures retail transactions are processed timely.
    • Prepare purchase and trade-in documentation.
    • Contacts banks to obtain lien releases.
    • Verifies the costs and transactions for each vehicle sale..
    • Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
    • Ensures the company's tag and title work meets state requirements.
    • Prepares and submits all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles (DMV).
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
