Job Summary I am seeking a resourceful and financially-minded Personal & Business Assistant to support a busy Restaurant Owner. This role is 50% business operations and 50% personal management. I don’t expect you to know every specific software or answer immediately, but I do require someone who can take a problem, research it, and present me with a solution rather than just questions. You will be in charge of organizing my financial life (bills, expenses) and handling the operational details (POS, social media) that keep the business running smoothly."
Responsibilities
Financial Management & Organization: Take full ownership of bill payment schedules for both personal and business accounts. Organize receipts, track expenses, and ensure no deadline is ever missed.
Proactive Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues (like POS glitches or printer errors) by researching manuals or contacting support yourself before escalating it to me. "Figure it out" is a key part of this job.
Research & Solutions: When we need a new vendor, software, or service, you will research options and present the best 2-3 choices with a recommendation.
Restaurant Administration: Assist with backend operations including menu updates, social media posting, and basic inventory tracking.
Errands & Logistics: Handle banking runs, supply purchasing, and personal errands to maximize my efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong Financial Literacy: Comfortable handling numbers, organizing bills, and using spreadsheets/Excel. You don't need to be an accountant, but you must be accurate and organized with money.
Resourceful Mindset: proven ability to learn new software or systems (like our POS) on the fly without constant supervision.
Solution-Oriented: You anticipate problems and bring solutions, not just complaints.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with social media, online banking, and learning new apps quickly.
High Integrity: You will have access to sensitive financial data; absolute discretion and trustworthiness are non-negotiable.
