    As a Caregiver with Assisting Hands, you will provide compassionate, dependable custodial and personal care services to clients in their homes. Working under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator and in accordance with each client’s individualized Plan of Care, you will play a key role in helping clients maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment while promoting independence and overall well-being.

    Education Requirements

    High School Diploma or GED required

    Qualifications

    Minimum of one (1) year of experience in home care, long-term care, or a related setting preferred

    Staffing Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Maintain a Clean & Safe Environment

    Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas

    Assist with laundry, dishwashing, and other routine household tasks

    Ensure the home remains organized, comfortable, and safe for the client

    1. Provide Personal Care & Daily Assistance

    Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, hygiene, grooming, dressing, shaving, and transferring

    Support mobility, ambulation, and prescribed exercise routines per the Plan of Care

    Assist with eating and other activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

    1. Nutritional Support

    Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and client preferences

    Assist with feeding when necessary

    Support meal planning to ensure proper nutrition and hydration

    1. Monitor Client Health & Well-Being

    Observe and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the Staffing Coordinator

    Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other required health data

    1. Support Mobility & Physical Activities

    Safely assist clients with mobility aids such as walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts

    Encourage and assist with prescribed physical and range-of-motion exercises

    Educate and support family members on basic care routines and safety practices

    1. Medication Assistance

    Assist with self-administered medications by:

    Retrieving medications and reading labels

    Supporting proper intake, including assistance with swallowing when needed

    Recording medication assistance accurately

    Ensuring medications are stored properly

    Providing water or other necessary items during medication administration

    1. Infection Control & Compliance

    Follow infection control standards, including proper hand hygiene, in accordance with CDC guidelines

    Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the Caregiver Handbook, Policy and Procedure Manual, and Caregiver Training Manual

    Working Hours

    Hours vary based on client needs and assignments

    Flexible scheduling available 24/7 based on caregiver availability

    Note: A fixed number of hours cannot be guaranteed
