Job Summary
The personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides compassionate, hand on support to client who require assistance with daily living activities. The PCA will assist the individual in maintaining independence, safety, and quality of life within their home and community. This role requires an energetic, reliable, and attentive individual who can motivate and engage the client receiving services while ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being.
The PCA must be capable of providing transportation to and from medical appointments and community activities and encouraging the individual to remain active and engaged.
Responsibilities
Assist with activities of Daily Living including mobility, hygiene support, dressing, and grooming as needed
Assist with meal preparation and light cooking when required
Provide support with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and organization
Monitor the individual's comfort, safety, and general well-being
Encourage and assist with physical activities to promote mobility and overall health
Support safe movement throughout the home and community
Assist with transfers or mobility support when needed
Provide transportation to and from doctor's visits.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
First aid and CPR-certified
Basic computer skills
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
Ability to lift heaving objects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work with limited supervision
Compassionate, respectful, ethical
Hours Monday - Friday 11am - 3pm
