    Position Summary

    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, client-centered care to individuals requiring assistance due to age, disability, or medical condition. Under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, the PCA supports activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence, safety, dignity, and well-being in home or community-based settings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene. Provide mobility assistance, including transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises as directed. Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and care plans. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment. Provide medication reminders in accordance with state regulations (no administration unless authorized). Observe and report changes in client condition to supervising nurse or care coordinator. Provide companionship and emotional support. Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities when required. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous caregiving, home health, or healthcare experience preferred but not required. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to assignment). Ability to pass state and federal background screening. Ability to pass drug screening (if required by state law). Authorized to work in the United States. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Demonstrated compassion, patience, and professionalism. Ability to follow written care plans and supervisor instructions. Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    This position involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting clients with mobility. Work is performed in client homes or residential care settings.
