Position Summary

Ready to be a superhero? As our Personal Care Partner, you'll be the maestro of daily care, conducting a symphony of comfort for our wonderful residents. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to anticipate, identify, and report care needs with the precision of a detective and the heart of a caregiver.

• Be the resident's personal concierge! Swoop in to provide timely assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) - think of yourself as a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, always there when needed!
• Transform into a grooming guru! Help residents look and feel their best by assisting with bathing, dressing, and meals. Remember, a well-tied shoelace can be the first step to a great day!
• Channel your inner Sherlock Holmes! Keep those eagle eyes peeled for any resident care needs - from misplaced hearing aids to sneaky skin rashes. No clue is too small for our care detectives!
• Be the family's favorite friendly face! Respond to their needs with the warmth of a summer's day and the efficiency of a Swiss watch.
• Play telephone operator extraordinaire! Keep those communication lines buzzing with supervisors and peers. After all, teamwork makes the dream work!
• Don your invisible superhero cape! Monitor resident safety and well-being like a stealthy guardian angel.
• Be the voice for those who can't speak up! Report any suspicion of abuse, neglect, or resource misappropriation faster than you can say "Holy guacamole!"
• Transform into a human notepad! Monitor and document resident's condition with the dedication of a bestselling author working on their magnum opus.
• Become a medication maestro! Assist residents with their daily pill-popping symphony, always in tune with state laws.
• Channel your inner Bob the Builder! Complete work orders for repairs and replacements. Can we fix it? Yes, we can!
• Be a meeting maven! Attend, participate, and contribute to monthly staff pow-wows like it's the most exciting book club you've ever been part of.
• Embrace the element of surprise! Be ready to take on other duties as assigned - because variety is the spice of life in caregiving!

Qualifications

Superhero Qualifications & Secret Powers

• English language skills that would make anyone jealous (reading, writing, and speaking required)
• One-year experience in elder care preferred (time spent with cool grandparents counts!)
• Tech-savvy enough to navigate an Electronic Health Management system without summoning IT support
• Organization skills that would make us proud
• Ability to juggle tasks like a circus performer (competing deadlines are our specialty)
• Flexibility that would make a yoga instructor envious (change is our middle name)
• Discretion of a secret agent when handling sensitive information (what happens in the care home, stays in the care home)

Superhero Physical Requirements

• Strength to lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally (think small dog or overpacked suitcase)
• Stamina to stand, walk, and grasp like you're in a never-ending game of musical chairs
• Flexibility to rival a gymnast (stooping, reaching, crawling, kneeling, and squatting are all in a day's work)
• Immune system of steel (exposure to various pathogens possible, but hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!)
• Nose of a bloodhound (possible exposure to household chemicals and other interesting scents)
• Ability to sit, stand, and bend like a human pretzel throughout the day
• Laser focus to handle frequent interruptions (squirrel!)
• People skills to charm clients, family members, and visitors (being a social butterfly is a plus!)
