    Job Description

    The Inventory Control and Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the accountability of all incoming, internal, and outgoing inventory movements are entered, updated, and tracked within our inhouse inventory system accurately and in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high organized, accurate and detail-oriented approach to problems, possess a strong work ethic, is comfortable handling multiple and changing priorities.

    Responsibilities:

    · Determine inventory levels to support Sales/Customer Service through planning, forecasts, and analysis.

    · Be a key member of the team to evaluate, test, and install new ERP systems and technology.

    · Maintain the QuickBooks system and database.

    · Determine a MRP and execute subsequent purchase orders.

    · Create and prepare inventory reports applicable for use in the management of the business.

    · Determine the optimum methods for real time inventory of Finished Goods.

    · Manage inventory to increase inventory turnover and adjust levels for seasonal & demand changes and promos.

    · Report any product and material availability issues to management.

    · Be a major participant in cost reduction programs aimed at lowering cost of purchased and produced goods

    · Review and recommend revisions to current inventory procedures.

    · Create or update Packaging BOMs, S.O.P.s, and written procedures required to assure efficient production.

    · Plan the orderly usage, depletion, and disposition of obsolete, discontinued, and rejected materials.

    · Assist in coordinating cycle counts and report any indication that the inventory control system does not exceed 99% accuracy. Reconcile production usage and determine the root cause of any count variance or discrepancy.

    · Track and account for inventory and production at outsourced locations.

    · Report on all variances or discrepancies such as non-conformance, shortages, or price.

    · Monitor the control and timely disposition of returns, scrap, and damaged goods provided by the team member

    · Maintain the files of up to date of raw material CofAs, SDS, TDS, allergen listings, and RTK.

    · Mentor fellow team members in all aspects of QuickBooks of which you are familiar.

    · Recommend system and procedural changes consistent with continuous improvement of operations.

    · Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time to meet company goals

     

     

    Qualifications:. 3-5 years inventory control and materials experience required with expertise in supply chain and planning management.

    Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Office.

    Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals, analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to work cooperatively across multiple functions and within a team-based structure. Must have an excellent understanding of the upstream and downstream of the supply chain process. Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and provides complete follow through on areas of responsibility.
