Job Description

American Veterans Group is a Veteran founded Home Care company that has been serving our community and taking care of Senior Military Veterans and surviving spouses for over 18 years.

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to assist a veteran client with short evening meal preparation shifts (6-8 PM) and morning availability on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday near his residence in San Bernardino. This role is ideal for someone looking to supplement their hours or ease into caregiving with a focused, low-commitment opportunity.

The client is currently cutting back on smoking and is seeking help primarily with breakfast and dinner preparation. No hands-on personal care is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Prepare simple, healthy meals in the client's home during scheduled evening shifts (6-8 PM) and morning shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area after meal prep

Follow client-specific meal preferences or dietary guidelines

Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor while in the home

Applicant Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 6 months of paid professional caregiving or home assistance experience (non-family)

Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Comfortable working short shifts (6-8 PM) daily evening and (Mon, Tue, Thurs & Sun) mornings

Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills

Must have a device that supports the most up-to-date version of iOS or Android

Be able to meet any compliance or registration requirements if applicable
