Slater & Zurz, LLP is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and results driven personal injury attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate should have the ability to handle a large active docket of both pre-litigation and litigated files and aggressively advocate for all our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and work up assigned personal injury cases, including pre-suit claim investigation, settlement negotiations, lien resolution, preparing pleadings, motion practice, research and writing, discovery, attendance at court conferences and hearings, litigating cases to verdict, etc.
- Work with and support teams within the firm.
- Maintain communication and positive relationships with clients.
- Supervise support staff.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice in Ohio.
- Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience, preferably in the area of personal injury, insurance defense, and/or prior claims handling experience.
- Excellent research, writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of NEOS/Needles case management software preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with others and contribute to a positive work environment to advance firm goals.
