    Law Clerk / Settlement Coordinator – Personal Injury We are seeking a versatile and experienced law clerk to join our personal injury team. This role is primarily pre-litigation and writing-intensive, involving the preparation of demand packages, drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, managing case files, and assisting with settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of personal injury experience, strong legal writing skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and good communication skills are essential. You will be responsible for preparing pleadings for out-of-state settlements, including those involving minors, supporting soft litigation matters in-house with the goal of resolving and closing cases, reviewing and supplementing files, and requesting records as needed. The role requires close coordination with the lead attorney and case managers to ensure cases are progressing toward resolution. This position is in-office and requires dependable, daily attendance. Responsibilities: • Communicate directly with clients to facilitate case closure and obtain necessary documents • Review and summarize medical records to support case value and settlement strategy • Draft persuasive written communications, including supplemental demand letters and counteroffers • Conduct factual and legal research to strengthen case positions and support negotiations • Negotiate with insurance adjusters and defense counsel to reach favorable settlements • Coordinate with medical providers and lien holders to ensure accurate case resolution • Track and manage a high volume of cases efficiently to ensure a timely closure • Maintain detailed documentation in the case management system and support the disbursement process Qualifications: • Preferred - Candidates to have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, or a Bachelor’s degree is preferred • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills • At least 3+ years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting, preferably specializing in personal injury law • Talented verbal communicator and writer • Understands personal injury from beginning to end (big picture process) and has experience working with wrongful death cases Compensation: $30 - $36 hourly
