You will handle the case file from start to finish with support from our team of highly skilled legal professionals. You should have excellent credentials, a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation along with trial case experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. Responsibilities: • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish • Gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case and conduct legal research on case law and premises liability • Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation • Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly • Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system • Learn, understand, and execute the firm’s personal injury case management process and procedures according to written and/or verbal instructions • Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases through the use of a variety of case management programs and procedures • Ensure the rights of the client, as well as the professional integrity of the firm, are preserved and maintained through professional expert representation in court or before government agencies • Prepare legal documents and negotiate settlements on behalf of injured clients Qualifications: • Must be computer proficient • Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatory • Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative • A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required • Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired • Knowledge of personal injury law/tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil, and family law is vital • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to build rapport with clients • Excellent time management skills, be organized, and able to effectively prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service • Intermediate administrative and proficient computer skills are required • Candidate must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia
