Responsibilities: • Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end • Modify, review, and draft demand letters, pleadings, claims, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents • Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements • Delegate tasks and manage a team of litigation paralegals, legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, and legal secretary • Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation • Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly • Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system Qualifications: • Illinois licensed lawyer with 2+ years of personal injury experience, • Experience attending court, hearings, and arguing motions, • Experience taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, police officers, and medical providers, • Experience handling mediations and settlement conferences, • Excellent drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills. • Trial experience is a plus, but not necessary.
