Join our growing office located in the Galleria area of Dallas. We're seeking a highly-motivated attorney, ready to work, or be taught, Personal Injury cases. You'll have the autonomy and freedom to run your own docket with a work/life balance that fits your needs.
The lawyer in this position will be supported by various in-house professionals. These colleagues make up our intake, reception, medical records, and closure teams. On top of this, each attorney has a dedicated Paralegal. Most of these professionals have been with our office for 3 years, many for 5 or more.
A candidate for this position need not have experience in this field of law, nor Spanish fluency, but, both are helpful in quickly moving forward with his or her docket. Kelly, our founder, is willing to teach our new hire whatever it is he or she needs to learn to be successful in our field. He will also add you to our professional insurance policies, in an effort to alleviate as many concerns as possible.
A candidate MUST have an active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
This role is commission-only after the commencement period. After the full closure of a case, the amount of commission paid to the lawyer is 30% of the attorney fee kept in-house at office. If the lawyer is the referral source, the amount of commission paid to the lawyer is 46% of the attorney fee kept in-house.
The commencement period is a three-month period immediately after the lawyer's date of hire. During the commencement period, the lawyer will be paid, in addition to the commission structure described above, the biweekly equivalent of a $90,000.00 annual salary (about $3,333.33 before taxes) every two weeks. For context, our commission structure produces annual earnings of an average of $120,000.00 to $250,000.00 , depending on an individual's skill sets, motivation and energy level.

Job Type : Full-time 1099 contractor; Kelly will assist with any concerns regarding such a structure and setup any new hire with anything he or she may need to feel comfortable with this.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively manage a case load of 75-100 cases
Draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery, various motions, and their counterparts
Attend hearings, mediations, depositions as needed per case
Communicate with clients, internal and external colleagues
Accurately maintain case data in Filevine (our case management software)
Prepare for trial when necessary
