    Our legal team needs a diligent, organized, and experienced personal injury paralegal. You will write briefs, create legal documents like affidavits, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and organize case files and other important material. To prepare a factual response to discovery, we need someone with experience ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records. You will also be experienced in family settlement talks and mediation to avoid lawsuits. If you are ready to advance your paralegal career, please apply today! Responsibilities: • Give legal assistance at family settlement meetings and mediation so that disputes can be settled without going to court • Aid lawyers in preparing for trial by arranging exhibits, witnesses, legal materials, client meetings, and motions • Talk with service providers or insurers about possible settlements for liens, bills, and medical expenses • Create legal pleadings, communications, and documents such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits with the assistance of a lawyer • Order, review, and summarize medical records for preparing factual response to discovery • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, medical professionals • E-filing • Drafting shells for motions/pleadings • Creating Medical Summaries and sending to Client before depos • Assisting with scheduling Depos, mediations, DMEs • Getting records from Experts • Preparing docs (jury fees, CMC statements, subpoenas, meet & confers)Calendar discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and all hearing-related deadlines • Trial preparation (binder, exhibits, ect.) Qualifications: • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • 3-5 years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer required, preferably in a personal injury law firm • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certification program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Completion of a NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification program strongly preferred • Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure – Discovery • Familiarity with legal research • Deadline and detail-oriented • Spanish Speaking is a must • Familiar with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications • Comfortable with a paperless workflow Compensation: $27 - $38 hourly
