    The Pre-Litigation Case Manager is responsible for direct client communication, document collection, medical treatment tracking, and case progression management. This role ensures that every case moves efficiently through the lifecycle—from intake to settlement—with all information complete, accurate, and prepared for attorney review. You will be the client’s primary point of contact throughout the claim, providing reassurance, updates, and outstanding service while working closely with attorneys to build strong, evidence-driven cases. Responsibilities: Client Communication & Relationship Management • Serve as the main point of contact for clients in car accidents, slip/trip and fall, dog bite, and third-party injury cases. • Provide timely case updates, set expectations, and respond to client questions. • Guide clients through medical treatment, property damage claims, and documentation needs. • Maintain a compassionate, professional, and solution-oriented demeanor at all times. Case Setup & Investigation • Conduct detailed intake interviews and open new cases in the case-management system. • Collect photographs, police reports, witness information, incident reports, animal control reports, insurance declarations, and other critical documents. • Request property damage estimates, repair invoices, towing bills, and rental car documentation. • Assist attorneys with initial liability assessment and investigative tasks. Medical Treatment Tracking • Request, review, and track all medical records and bills. • Follow the chronology of treatment to ensure timely updates and identify gaps in care. • Communicate with providers regarding balances, liens, and outstanding records. • Build organized medical summaries for attorney demand preparation. Case Progression & Deadlines • Update case status proactively and ensure every file is actively moving forward. • Assist with insurance claims, UM/UIM filings, and health-insurance subrogation issues. • Monitor statutes of limitations, demand deadlines, negotiation windows, and litigation triggers. • Support attorneys in preparing demands, settlement negotiations, and litigation transition. Documentation & File Organization • Maintain accurate and complete digital files in CASEpeer/Foundation AI/Tetra (or your firm’s systems). • Upload, label, and categorize all incoming documents. • Draft client letters, referral communications, insurance correspondence, and settlement packets. • Ensure the file is always “audit-ready” for attorney review. Settlement & Closing Support • Help prepare settlement statements, liens, medical billing summaries, and disbursement sheets. • Work with attorneys on lien reductions, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, health insurance subrogation, and provider communications. • Ensure timely case closing, client satisfaction, and accurate documentation. Qualifications: Required Qualifications • Previous personal injury case management experience (car accidents, premises liability, or dog bites). • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities. • Experience communicating with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and clients. • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment without sacrificing quality. • Proficiency with legal case-management software and AI integration is a plus. • High empathy, patience, and professionalism. Must provide at least 2 former supervising lawyers or other management-type persons you directly reported to for us to contact.* Compensation: $40 - $50 hourly
