Personal Injury Paralegal - Demand Writing Focus (Part Time) We are a busy personal injury law firm seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal with a strong focus on demand writing. This role is critical to our settlement pipeline and cash flow. The ideal candidate has prior PI experience, can independently draft high-quality demand letters, review medical records and specials, and keep demand packages moving efficiently. This position will start as part-time, with flexibility, and may expand based on performance and firm needs. Early litigation support may be included, but the primary responsibility is consistent and timely demand production. Our firm handles personal injury matters across multiple states. This role may include limited post-settlement and early litigation support, such as drafting routine filings and assisting with minor hearings under attorney supervision. Extensive litigation experience is not required; we are looking for someone comfortable following firm guidance and supporting multi-jurisdictional matters as needed. Responsibilities: • Maintain our case filing systems and other administrative activities • Discuss potential lien, bill, and medical expense settlements with service providers or insurers • Draft and finalize personal injury demand letters using provided facts, medical records, billing, and attorney guidance • Review and summarize medical records, treatment, and specials for demand packages • Compile and organize complete demand-ready files and coordinate with case managers to resolve any missing items • Maintain steady demand output and track demand status through resolution • Assist with limited early litigation and post-settlement support, including drafting routine filings and supporting minor hearings under attorney supervision • Follow firm templates, procedures, and multi-state practice guidelines • Meet internal deadlines and production expectations while working independently Qualifications: • At least 3-5 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting, preferably specializing in personal injury law • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • Talented verbal communicator and writer • Experience in drafting and finalizing personal injury demand letters with precision and clarity. • Spanish-speaking (bilingual English/Spanish) required • Ability to independently review and summarize medical records, treatment details, and specials for demand packages. • Proven track record of maintaining organized case filing systems and administrative activities. • Strong communication skills to discuss settlements with service providers or insurers effectively. • Familiarity with multi-state practice guidelines and ability to follow firm templates and procedures. • Capacity to meet internal deadlines and production expectations while working independently. • Experience in assisting with early litigation and post-settlement support, including drafting routine filings under attorney supervision, is a plus. Compensation: $28 - $32 hourly
