Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Trainer to become a Sports Performance Coach for middle school and high school athletes. As a Parisi Speed School Performance Coach, you will perform fitness assessments, develop training plans, and provide education on how to use gym equipment safely for small groups (max of 6 per class). Your primary goal is to teach athletes how to move more efficiently and how to run faster, cut quicker, jump higher, get more explosive power, as well as how to strength train properly. We will teach you the methodology and everything you need to become a successful Performance Coach. The ideal candidate is a great teacher with attention to detail and a passion for fitness.
Responsibilities
Perform fitness assessments to understand each client’s current fitness and athletic level
Be very specific in correcting form/technique throughout workout plans and training routines and revise them periodically
Demonstrate proper techniques for common strength training workouts for younger athletes
Ensure that all gym safety standards and procedures are followed
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Exercise Science is preferred
Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification
Knowledge of kinesiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is a must
First aid and CPR-certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
