$60,000 Base + Benefits | A Clear Path to Facility Leadership
Bolt Fitness & Performance Training is hiring a full-time coach to join a structured, principle-driven training system serving 200+ adult clients (primarily 40+) and 80+ youth athletes (12–20). We're opening a second location in the fall of 2026, and we're building the next generation of leaders to grow with us.
If you got into coaching to actually coach — not sell memberships, not run circuits for applause — keep reading.
Compensation & Benefits
$60,000 base starting salary — above industry standard
401(k) with company match
10 days paid time off per year
50% of health insurance covered by Bolt
Consistent, predictable schedule (details below)
Zero sales quotas, lead-chasing, commission, or supplement targets — you coach, we handle the rest
The Role
You'll coach:
Adult small group training (structured programming, high execution standard)
Semi-private training (individualized within a shared setting)
Sports performance (if qualified — if not, you'll be trained)
This isn't "run the whiteboard." It's managing stimulus and fatigue, individualizing on the fly, driving measurable progression, and commanding a room of adults 40+ who have careers, families, and old injuries — without needing to perform for them. That's the standard, and it's non-negotiable.
Typical Schedule:
25-30 sessions/week.
5-10 hours/week of member follow-up and program design.
Weekday mornings and/or evenings. 1-2 Saturdays per month.
No split shifts.
The Growth Path
We're scaling toward multiple locations and looking for future operators, not shift-fillers. Coaches who master our model and lead by example have a real path into:
Lead Coach
Program Oversight
Facility Leader for future locations
What We're Looking For
Skill matters, culture matters more. Our values, in short:
Clear Is Kind — say what you mean, mean what you say
Be Anti-Fragile — adapt, don't break
White Belt Mentality — nobody has all the answers; growth is constant
Do What You Say You'll Do — follow-through builds trust
Keep the Goal the Goal — better beats more; row together
Be Where Your Feet Are — show up fully for whoever's in front of you
Be Genuinely Curious — dig deeper, ask better questions
If that excites you, you'll fit here.
This probably isn't your spot if: you want to "just run workouts," lean on hype over competence, resist structure, or want a job instead of a career.
Requirements:
Nationally recognized personal training certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, or equivalent)
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred, but not required)
Minimum 2 years of experience in personal training, strength & conditioning, or athletic performance coaching
Strong knowledge of resistance training, functional movement, and program design
CPR/AED certification required
Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a diverse clientele ranging from general fitness to athletic performance
Self-motivated, reliable, and passionate about health and fitness
