Personal Training Internship 12 Week Intensive Education Program
About the Role The GRIP Center is opening its doors to individuals ready to launch a career in high-performance health and longevity. This 12-week internship is designed to take you from "enthusiast" to "professional." We welcome applicants from all backgrounds—no prior professional experience is required, only a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
The Curriculum This is a structured academic and practical program where each week focuses on specific skill acquisition:
Weeks 1-4 (Foundations): Learn facility operations, program design basics (GBC & Structural Balance), and shadow live client sessions.
Weeks 5-8 (Movement Mastery): Deep dive into biomechanics. You will learn to perform and teach split squats, hip hinges, and specific shoulder health movements like the Trap 3 raise.
Weeks 9-12 (Professional Application): Focus on writing periodized programs, understanding sleep/stress management, and developing the soft skills necessary to retain clients.
Responsibilities
Shadowing 1-2 client sessions per day to learn real-world cueing.
Completing weekly reading assignments (manuals and books on psychology/EQ).
Assisting with facility maintenance to understand the flow of a professional gym.
Designing hypothetical programs to present to mentors for feedback.
