    Gold’s Gym SoCal is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Personal Training Operations Director to oversee the operational excellence of the Personal Training department across all locations. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of all training services, coaching best practices, staffing, compliance, and the overall member experience. This role will work in close partnership with the Personal Training Sales Director and VP of Fitness to implement initiatives that drive department growth, consistency, and performance.

    The Personal Training Operations Director will have the following responsibilities:

    Oversee all operational aspects of the Personal Training department across all company locations.

    Ensure consistency in service delivery, coaching standards, and client experience.

    Partner with the VP of Fitness to align operational strategy with company goals and member expectations.

    Work closely with the Personal Training Sales Director to ensure revenue-driving activities are fully supported operationally.

    Lead, coach, and support Personal Training Managers and staff in delivering high-quality training services.

    Establish and execute a cadence of daily, weekly, and monthly follow-ups to maintain alignment, execution, and accountability.

    Analyze operational gaps, identify the root causes of underperformance, and develop clear action plans to address them.

    Foster teamwork, communication, and camaraderie between all locations to promote a strong, unified culture.

    Oversee compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and certification requirements.

    Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and retention of top-tier personal training talent.

    Monitor key metrics related to client sessions, trainer utilization, and member satisfaction.

    Create and uphold a culture rooted in professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    MUST HAVE FITNESS EXPERIENCE – GENERAL MANAGER ROLE OR HIGHER IN THE FITNESS DEPARTMENT FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS

    Minimum of 3–5 years' experience managing or consulting in a multi-unit, full-service business, preferably in the fitness industry

    Proven track record of success in managing operations and staff in a high-performance environment

    Proficient in managing a P&L in a related industry

    Experience in developing and executing scalable, innovative operational strategies

    Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse and senior teams

    Passionate and knowledgeable about the fitness industry

    Comprehensive understanding of the Personal Training business and client service standards

    Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or relevant industry experience preferred

    This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 35 lbs. Standing for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, clear communication, and appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
