    Job Description

    Process  Metallurgist- $85-95K + 5% Bonus – Steel Rolling Mill Operations -  Analyze process and product data to identify potential improvements to quality and production efficiencies - Lead small group(s) of production/technical employees to determine root cause of problems; use problem solving tools to mitigate risk - Lead cross-functional teams (purchasing, maintenance, production, etc.) to compete projects related to safety, quality, and production - Create standard task procedures (STPs) and related documentation for manufacturing processes - Gain process knowledge to become technical subject matter expert for area of responsibility - Design, plan, and assist Engineering & Maintenance with new or modification to instrumentation, equipment, and control needed to support product quality and process requirements - Adhere to ISO Quality Management System requirements by conducting/supporting audits and maintaining task procedures & quality/calibration records - Monitor and maintain Process data (DARTS, SAP, databases, worksheets, etc.) to ensure accurate data is present in our control and reporting systems.

     

    BS Engineering required (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical Engineering) – 4+ years process/metallurgical engineering experience in steel mill operations - Prefer hot or cold rolling mill (rebar, bars, flat steel, tubing, product not important).
