Job Description
Process Controls Engineer - $105-115K – Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing - Responsible for programming and making modifications for computer control systems (includes: Honeywell, Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Drive systems etc.) Involved with the design and implementation of the projects/ modifications for process automation for all operating areas. Assist in preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs and installation of equipment associated with the Power Distribution Systems. Write specifications for selection of new instrumentation and spare part stock. Inspect projects, plants, and equipment on a routine basis.Train personnel in the performance, operation and maintenance of computer-controlled instrumentation. Assist in the implementation of the OSHA STAR Program. Function as a technical adviser to Chemical Plants and Maintenance I/E Teams.
Qualifications
BS Electrical Engineering degree with 5+ years experience as a Controls/Instrumentation Specialist for specialty chemicals, refineries, pulp & paper, or related process plants (PSM). Knowledge of and experience in the process control networking protocols and hardware including programming. "Hands-on" experience in design, installation and startup of instrumentation systems and electrical systems is
essential. Knowledge of test procedures and test equipment, an understanding of computer control and hardware,
familiarization with control logic, and a solid background in electronics.
