Biotech Patent Agent - Dallas

The Dallas office of the law firm US LLP is seeking a patent agent with a Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline to join our collaborative and dynamic Intellectual Property and Technology practice. This is a great opportunity to work with a high energy team of dedicated and experienced professionals who are passionate about their work, and to be a part of a collaborative team with a depth of experience. We take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach that provides a broader perspective on how intellectual property issues affect key legal and business decisions. Must be able to work on site 4 days a week.(mandatory)

Technical skills

• PhD in molecular genetics, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field is required, together with a strong academic record
• Law firm experience or experience working as a Patent Examiner with the USPTO is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Registration to practice before the USPTO is preferred
