    Our client is an IT and software product-focused company. The candidate for this role will be responsible for carrying out the IT vision with a high level of quality and technical excellence. Successful execution of this role will combine fluency in computer hardware, infrastructure, networking, IT project management, and unwavering dedication to quality.

     

    Cloud System Administrator Responsibilities

    • Provide technical and operational support and administration of infrastructure to include cloud services, databases, Azure AD services.
    • Ensure computer systems function as expected, are maintained on a regular schedule, are backed up for the purposes of disaster recovery, and are protected from internal and external threats
    • Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V and Exchange
    • Maintain and administer enterprise anti-virus, patch management, security mitigation, email, and software suites
    • Perform regular network and system monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing any identified or end user reported issues
    • Utilize enterprise ticket management system for problem resolution, evidence capture, and trend analysis
    • Interface with internal and external customers and vendors to determine network infrastructure needs
    • Complete technology refreshes, upgrades, and maintenance releases at times that minimally impact the core business
    • Update and maintain network diagrams. Document all systems administration configuration processes and installation procedures
    • Configure and maintain virtual servers per business requirements
    • Administer the creation, operation, permission modification, and deletion of username and passwords of authorized system users
    • Schedule and maintain onsite and offsite system backups. Review backup logs, develop and maintain backup procedures, restore data and configurations, document recovery plans, and implement new backup technologies ensuring end-user data is protected
    • Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous end-user support
    • Train junior systems staff and technical support personnel on the maintenance of new systems, workstations, and other general office equipment attached to the network
    • Participate in and advise on disaster recovery and business continuity planning
    • Maintain technical knowledge. Stay abreast of technical and industry sector advancements
    • Keep up to date on industry standards and the latest IT trends and tools that would benefit the company and team

     

    Cloud System Administrator Qualifications

    • Azure experience is a Must Have
    • B.S. or Associates in Computer Information Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience or technical certifications.
    • 5+ years' progressively experience in an IT System Administration or similar role.
    • Prior customer-centric experience
    • Systems configuration, support, and maintenance experience
    • Hardware and infrastructure experience
    • Support ticketing system experience
    • Configure endpoint security solutions and other tools
    • Knowledge of Cloud DevOps principles
