Pet Galaxy Inc. is located on 8 acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, a short 20 minutes’ drive north of San Antonio’s Stone Oak area on US Highway 281.  If you enjoy to seriously challenge yourself, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are looking for an individual that possess skills such as multi-tasking, energetic, enthusiastic, and loves pets to join our family of highly skilled professionals   If hired, you will be working with customers and their pets (mostly dogs and cats), and provide the renowned Pet Galaxy service to all of our animal guests and human customers. You must have flexibility for working some overtime, weekends and holidays.  GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS ARE A MUST.

This is a new position, with a training track leading to fulfill a Kennel Manager position. If you are looking for a growth opportunity, this is a position that allows for building a career in the pet care services business!

  REQUIREMENTS:

·         Confident, energetic and friendly personality.

·         Strong organizational, communications (verbal and written), leadership and customer service skills.

·         Critical thinker with the ability to make decisions.

·         Strong ability to prioritize and multitask and work with minimal supervision.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Must be dependable, reliable, punctual and trustworthy.

·         Must be able to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.

·         Must be a safe driver and have a valid driver’s license.

·         Must have reliable transportation.

·         Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, electronic calendars and booking software systems.

·         Minimum of 1 year of professional pet care experience.

  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Oversee all operations including boarding, daycare, grooming and transportation.

·         Hands-on in managing day-to-day operations.

·         Ensuring the safety of dogs, staff and customers.

·         Maintaining quality control standards.

·         Performing administrative activities associated with effective management of operations.

·         Working with Management on accomplishing business goals and targets.

·         Supervising and training staff as needed.

·         Providing superior customer service which includes checking in and out customers, booking reservations and providing information about our services.  

·         Managing daily close outs of the till and cash.

·         Filling in for team members as needed in all areas of the business.
