About the Role Join a locally owned, mobile grooming team serving happy, repeat clients across southern Indianapolis. We handle the scheduling, logistics, and client acquisition so you can focus on what you do best: delivering premium, one-on-one care in a fully equipped Mercedes-Benz grooming van.
Responsibilities
Deliver full-cycle grooms on a manageable daily schedule that prioritizes safety and quality
Work independently in the van while communicating clearly with clients and the team
Maintain sanitation standards and care for equipment
Compensation
Groomers on a full schedule average $1,100–$1,600 per week including tips.
Ramp guarantee: While your route builds, you'll receive $18/hr for scheduled hours plus 100% of tips - you always earn whichever is greater.
Benefits & Perks
Tool Maintenance Credit: Company-paid blade sharpening and maintenance on a regular 8-week cycle. Available after your 60-day introductory period.
PTO: 12 paid days off per year at $18/hr (10-hour day). Accrues after your 60-day introductory period.
Holidays: Major U.S. holidays off (unpaid).
Professional Development: Company-paid AKC S.A.F.E. Grooming Certification upon completion of your onboarding. We also sponsor access to continuing education events, including online industry programs like Barkleigh's World Groom, to support your growth as a professional.
Supplies: Company covers van fuel and all grooming consumables. You bring your personal pro toolkit (shears/clippers).
What Makes You a Great Fit
Professional grooming experience required, job-ready from day one
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine care for pets and clients
Great communication skills, as you represent the brand at every appointment
Clean driving record and comfortable operating a larger vehicle
Able to lift and maneuver pets up to 75 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Preferences: mobile experience, ability to groom a wide range of breeds and coat types, demonstrated speed with quality (low redos, high rebook rate), and reliability
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Schedule
4-day workweek, typically four 10-hour days. Routes set collaboratively based on your availability.
