Now Hiring: Part-Time Summer Groomer ✂️🐾

Our awesome full-time groomer is having a baby in June, so we’re looking for an experienced Summer Groomer to join our small, friendly shop at Doodle Stars!

This is a great opportunity to work 3–5 days a week through the busy summer months (June–August), with the possibility of staying on longer.

What we’re looking for:

• 🐶 Ability to groom 5–8 dogs per day with a bather

• 💪 Confident, efficient, and gentle with all breeds

• 😊 Positive team player who loves dogs • ✂️ Professional/ breed standard training available

Responsibilities

Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

Bathe dogs and dry coat

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions

Trim nails

Ensure the safety of dogs at all times

Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role

Comfortable working with anxious animals

Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift large dogs over 60 pounds with assistance

Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education

Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

Strong attention to detail
