Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team . As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you! We offer you Your own grooming room. Grooming 1 dog at time. No cages. Pay is hourly, plus commissions and tips. We supply products, assist with laundry, making appointments. You just need your tools and keep them clean, sanitized, and sharp

Responsibilities

Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

Bathe dogs and dry coat, full brush outs

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests based on breed and customer desire

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions

Trim nails

Ensure the safety of dogs at all times

Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dog grooming technician

Comfortable working with anxious animals

Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds

Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

Strong attention to detail
