Job Title: Pet Resort Operations Manager Location: Paw Oasis Pet Resort – [Insert City, TX] Reports to: General Manager / Owner Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried Position Summary: Paw Oasis Pet Resort is seeking a hands-on, dependable, and detail-oriented Back of House (BOH) Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our pet care facility’s boarding, daycare, and bathing departments. This role is critical in ensuring that all animals are cared for to the highest standards, that our team is trained and productive, and that our facility remains clean, safe, and efficient. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a high work ethic, clear communication skills, and a proactive, forward-thinking mindset. Must have two years of experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a Pet Boarding & Daycare facility. Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Staff Development • Supervise, coach, and hold accountable the pet care, kennel, and bathing teams. • Lead daily team huddles and shift transitions with clarity and urgency. • Train staff to follow Paw Oasis SOPs, including Dog Gurus playgroup management. • Conduct ongoing training in animal care, safety, feeding, medications, and customer service. Operations & Facility Oversight • Ensure consistent execution of back-of-house protocols and standards. • Manage opening and closing procedures independently and train others to do so. • Oversee shift coverage and labor efficiency in alignment with scheduled business needs. • Maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation in all areas, correcting deficiencies promptly. Animal Care & Safety • Monitor and ensure the health and well-being of all pets in our care. • Respond quickly to animal behavioral or health issues with appropriate action. • Lead safety practices to minimize risk and prevent incidents. Inventory & Supplies • Track, order, and restock cleaning, feeding, and bathing supplies as needed. • Minimize waste and control supply-related expenses. Communication & Coordination • Maintain clear communication with the General Manager and Front of House team. • Participate in planning for holiday peak periods and operational improvements. • Collaborate with other managers to improve client satisfaction and team performance. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in animal care operations and team leadership • Previous management experience preferred • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to train and lead by example • Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and solutions-driven • Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and peak seasons • Must love animals and understand animal behavior basics • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and be on the feet for extended periods Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 yearly
