    ABOUT THE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER POSITION:  (MID-LEVEL, FULL-TIME)

    We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team.  As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling into and servicing a number of client accounts as well as maintaining, growing, and strengthening new and existing client relationships.  This position is responsible for selling shelter management software to animal welfare organizations (shelters and rescues) in an assigned territory.  This role is focused on sales, relationship building, retention, and overall client satisfaction. Your ability to probe, uncover, and understand client needs as well as to close new business, train and onboard new customers, and provide exceptional customer service will be key to your success.  The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • ·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications from an accredited university
    • ·         A minimum of 3 years sales and/or account management experience in software sales, financial services, pet food/supplies/product sales or related industry experience,  or experience in a development role for a nonprofit organization
    • ·         Strong customer/customer service orientation
    • ·         Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills
    • ·         Solid business acumen
    • ·         Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • ·         Stellar follow-up and follow-through orientation
    • ·         Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • ·         Ability to work successfully both individually and in a team environment
    • ·         Familiarity, comfort, and ease working in online and mobile environments
    • ·         A passion for pets and animal welfare (highly desired and preferred)

     

    Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

    • ·         Solicit/call on animal shelters and rescue groups to sell the Petstablished shelter management solution and suite of products
    • ·         Product demonstrations using a variety of methods and tools (in person, phone calls, webinars, screen-sharing, etc.) to various audiences (org. management, staff, and volunteers)
    • ·         Meet and exceed a monthly quota of closed new business
    • ·         Provide a stellar customer service experience to/for our clients
    • ·         Resolve customer issues in a timely and expedient manner
    • ·         Educate clients on new and existing product/service offerings
    • ·         Ensure that client incentives are properly paid and distributed
    • ·         Report sales and account management activity on a weekly and monthly basis
    • ·         Complete administrative tasks/work as required
    • ·         Travel as needed to visit accounts or attend sales conferences
